If you decide to hire a car then it's a good idea to reserve one as soon as you have booked your flights, to make sure that you get the model you want at the best possible price.

There is a huge difference in the prices charged by the car hire companies depending on how you book. This difference can amount to as much as £100 per week for the same model, so it’s worth spending a few minutes to get the best deal.

If you want to save money then do not book your car using the ‘car hire’ option when you book your flights. There are two reasons for this.

Secondly, most of the people travelling on your flight will use this ‘easy’ option, which can lead to queues at that particular car hire desk when all of the passengers from your flight arrive there at the same time.

You can also save time at the airport if one member of the party goes straight to the car hire desk while the other member(s) collect the luggage.
